Artwork Conversion

To achieve the highest quality print, we must start with high-quality artwork. We require images and designs in a vector format rather than a raster format.

If you have a “scanned image,” it is a raster-based file. Similarly, images from websites and the internet are usually raster-based, only 72 DPI (dots per inch), and very low resolution—meaning they are not suitable for printing. These files may look great on your screen, but they do not produce high-quality print results.

Need Help with Low-Resolution Artwork?

If you have low-resolution artwork, we can convert it to a vector file for printing. Depending on the file, this may involve:

• Processing the image through a vectorizing program
• Or redrawing the artwork by hand to produce a clean, print-ready vector file

This is an industry-standard process and not unique to Deluxe.

Once your artwork is converted, we can provide a downloadable version of the finished vector file upon request. You can use this file for any future printing projects, whether through Deluxe or another vendor.

Turnaround Time

Because the level of work required varies, we cannot estimate the turnaround time until we receive your artwork. For rush orders, we highly recommend supplying print-ready vector artwork to avoid delays.
