Preproduction Samples
What Are Pre-Production Proofs?
A pre-production proof (also known as a spec sample) is a physical sample of the item you are ordering, printed with your imprint. Pre-production proofs are available for most items Deluxe carries.
Pre-production proofs are recommended when time allows, as they provide the best representation of how your items will look when printed in bulk.
- Pre-production proofs typically incur setup costs in addition to the cost of the item.
- They can add an additional 5–10 business days to the ordering process to allow for factory setup, production, and shipping.
- Upon approval of the pre-production proof, your items will be manufactured with standard production time.
- Expedited production service may be available—ask your account manager about all available options.
