Challenge Award

One of a set of substantial awards in aquashaped sandstone and starfire glass. Sandstone, as a major structural element, reinforces the impression of weight, solidity and permanence in an award. The Challenge features a central starfire rectangle, with etched climber artwork and polished edges, and sandstone "cliffs" on front and back. This piece works well as a recognition item acknowledging great persistence, supreme effort or success in difficult circumstances.
